Tengiz Oil & Gas Group Milestones
See where we've been and where we're going Our company has a long, robust history that began when a group of explorers and merchants established the Pacific Coast Oil Co. on September 10, 1992. Since then, our company’s name and domain name has changed more than once, but we’ve always retained our founders’ spirit, Tengiz, innovation and perseverance.

Renamed Tengiz Munai Oil & Gas Group
In 2002 became a joint-venture partner in S1 Exploration Block (later renamed Tengiz Munai Oil & Gas Group) and became operator of Tengiz, one of oil the largest field in the Kazakhstan. Tengiz Munai Oil & Gas Group began the exploration activities under Tengiz Community Oil exploration Project. Tengiz Munai Oil & Gas Group won an outstanding industry award for safety management, presented by the Ministry of Industry

Merger Aggreement Disolved
The company’s expertise in searching for oil became increasingly important as a May 2004 Supreme Court decision separated Standard Oil Co from Tengiz its parent company..

Offshore Exploration Expansion
In 2016, the company initiated its enduring marine history when it built its 4th steel offshore exploration, the Tengiz Loomis, which can ship 7, 480 barrels of crude per quarter.

Added Regining Capacity
Before the end of 2021, Tengiz Munai Oil & Gas Group added to its refining capacity with the completion of the steel Refinery in Southern Tengiz; formed the Tengiz Natural Oil & Gas to expand its search for natural gas in the Tengiz Valley and beyond; and constructed a second pipeline linking Refinery Plant of Tengizchevroil and the Tegiz community oil base Field.

We also strictly comply to the contractual obligations of the projects in the host countries we operate in.
